Help Me/ hook up a forward-stop-reverse motor cont switch on a 220volt mill machine
This type of equipment can be purchased in Europe in two versions: The price is the same – or almost the same. The Volt version is by far the most frequently used in Europe, but our contacts in Africa have asked for Volt – not giving any arguments. What is the reason or advantage of using sometimes Volt rather than Volt? It might well be that the Google researcher working on this question knows the answer well. The answer does not necessarily have to be in the traditional form of a list of website-references although they are most welcome. The advantage of Volt compared to Volt? The difference has to do more with local wiring then with performance of the appliance.

He ends up calling us to come in and hook the juice to it. When I got there I inspected the nameplates of the three motors on it. I ask him where he bought the used equipment and he told me that it was running in South Carolina, looking at the phase tape it was hooked up to 3-phase. This client only has 3-phase, my question is this:
American volt is volt plus volt out of phase or 2 phase. 99 percent of RV or travel trailers use x 2, or volt outside divided as 2 x volt legs. This is /5(11).
If you have Volt appliances, see the bottom of this page. The photo to the left shows the wall receptacle design usually found in Thailand. They accomodate both flat prongs like in the U. However, the newest office and condominium dwellings usually offer the third prong due to increased awareness of the importance of grounding for both safety and equipment damage reasons.
Most devices run fine on 2 prongs, but some things should have a ground for reasons of both safety and equipment damage, as discussed later in this article. In most parts of Thailand, the government rate has been held at around 4 baht per kilowatt hour. This applies to houses and condominiums. However, apartments usually have a higher rate, usually between 5 and 7 baht per unit. The difference between an “apartment” and a “condominium” is that one owner owns an entire apartment building or block and rents them all out, whereas condominium units are owned by individual owners, i.
Condominiums are like houses in this regard. In some parts of Thailand, the electricity is priced according to usage, in order to give a break to the poor and charge the wealthy a bit more, so that the first xxx units cost a lower rate, and the cost per unit goes up with higher monthly consumption, with some maximum rate such as 6 baht per unit. If you think it may be too difficult for you technically, then I suggest you print it and keep it handy for other people who may help you.
I would suggest printing both this page and the one on grounding.

Good day beloved reader.
When space is a premium, large appliances like washers and dryers feel like a luxury. Yet no one likes spending their day off at a Laundromat. If you can make owning a washer and dryer work in the space you have available, the convenience and improved quality of life will quickly pay off.
Furnace Wiring Connections Electrical Question: I need help wiring an electric furnace with heat elements. I have installed an electric furnace with a 15 kw heat element. I ran number 6 wire with ground from my amp service box where I installed a 60amp double pole breaker. The furnace comes with an other set of breakers one 60amp and one 30amp where I am supposed to connect the line voltage. I put the red wire in L1 the black wire in L2 and the white wire in L3 and the ground on the ground screw.
What goes in L4? The blower comes on but no heat. This electrical wiring question came from: Tony, a Handyman from Bloomfield, New Mexico. Thanks for your electrical wiring question Tony. Installing the amp /volt 3 pole 4 wire grounding Service DO NOT CONFUSE the amp 4 wire /volt (R) Service with the OLD APPLIANCE amp (R) 3 wire /volt service. The amp service has 4 wires with two volt .

On the other hand, a few motors were designed to be “convertible,” in that their original windings were designed to work on multiple voltages by altering the wiring at the junction box terminals on the motor. If it’s not shown on a label inside the motor’s junction box you’ll need to find the Installation Guide for the motor, either by going on-line to the manufacturer’s web site or by asking an electrical parts supplier for the info.
Before you do any work yourself, on electrical circuits, equipment or appliances, always use a test meter to ensure the circuit is, in fact, de-energized. I’m assume you’re not working on a polyphasic system, so you have 2 hots and one neutral with VAC across the hots and VAC across either hot and neutral: The motor should have two sets of windings inside.
The leads for these windings should be behind a cover plate or in a junction box. Since t…he motor is currently wired for V, the windings should be in parallel. Write down which wires are connected to what. This is very important in case you make a mistake!

Jun 15, · Thread: 3 phase motor hook up. Bruce, I redid my Clausing with a 24 volt contactor coil and used a to 24 volt transformer from MSC. I like the low voltage wiring to the start and stop switches. I use a small relay that latches in once the start switch is pushed.
Post a question in our Forums. What do I have to do? More than likely, you need to run a brand new wire to the outlet from a new breaker in your box. Unless which is unlikely the outlet is the only one on a circuit now. Let me see if I can explain. To wire a outlet, a new double pole breaker is installed in your box. From this both the black and the white wires will be hot when checked or wired to ground. You are wiring from both sides of the in your box. Going from either line to ground is Going from one side to the other is That is why the breaker in your box is a double one ganged together.

South Central Pennsylvania Posts: At the main panel the service neutral and the outside ground rod and any internal water pipe or supplemental ground for that matter are all technically one and the same wire and point – but that is where it ends. Once you leave the main panel on any grounded system this extra added ground wire now serves a totally new purpose and because it is now isolated from the neutral from that point on – it adds the extra degree of protection that the neutral cannot – it is picking up any “bleed” to metal on all your appliances the frame of your light fixtures or dryer or stove, etc and taking that back to the panel and hopefully tripping the circuit breaker monitoring that circuit in the process.
The neutral, having an internal connection inside that device can NOT do this.

While you can certainly go off the beaten path and acquire and install the equipment on your own, there are several advantages to go through SPX. Here I will discuss getting a charger installed through SPX. The first step in the process is to register for a home level 2 charger installation. Additionally you will need to fill out on online questionnaire regarding how your house is laid out and a photo upload of your current breaker panel configuration.
This allows them to do the first level assessment remotely, but realistically to get a quote you will need to schedule an Electrician to inspect the property. SPX will coordinate all aspects including scheduling the electrician. The In Home Inspection After you get in line, you wait. Around the time the Volt was being delivered, I received the first round of calls to schedule an in-home inspection.
The inspection gives you a quote with no obligation to move forward with the install.

No, I didn’t want to run it on a VFD I don’t need reverse, so I simply bought a heavy duty, light switch style switch “double pole switch for v equipment”. I’d like to run it on the line, but despite being pretty certain I’m wiring it correctly, and have even tried it incorrectly a couple ways the breaker always trips immediately. I’ve wired it for and it worked fine, but eventually tripped the breaker the nearest outlet is only 15 amps.
However, when you can hook up to a volt outlet and increase the amperage rate, even without the expensive dual on-board charger system, you can quadruple the miles per-hour-charge you can get! Keep in mind, this is at home.
Otago Daily Times Filed Under: ATV Utility Vehicle Hunting Buggy – The rear electric atv motor is visible mounted on the rear axle of the Barefoot Motors electric ATV prototype Electric all-terrain vehicles may not impress the dune-and trail-riding crowd that rides for recreation, but a few small companies expect organic farmers and vineyard growers will pay a premium to gather cattle and spray vines without the carbon footprint of a gas vehicle.
While automakers are toiling to produce electric cars that will fit the demands of American drivers, Ashland-based Barefoot Motors is on the verge of turning out heavy-duty electric ATVs that can go 50 miles on a charge costing about 90 cents. She’d like to haul her spraying equipment without fogging the vines with exhaust fumes, and the electric ATV motors could get free power from the vineyard’s solar panels. It’s even more cost-efficient for farms producing their own power from solar panels or manure digesters, and as gas prices go up.
Barefoot is not the first electric ATV coming to market. Bad Boy Buggies in Natchez, Mississippi, has vehicles intended for hunters.
